Think Twice is a game that was developed during the Uni Jam 2016
About
I’ve removed some dust from my Unity installation and compiled it to work on the web, so I can happily present “Think Twice”.
The game jam was organized in my school for students enrolled in the Digital Interactions and Video Games (JIN) specialization. T he event was a 48-hour game jam, we were both engineering students (from the JIN specialization at Télécom-SudParis and ENSIEE) and game design students (from the Licence Pro in video games at the IUT of Bobigny).
In an absurd laboratory, you play as two robots trying to solve strange enigmas. Does this remind you of anything? But don’t be fooled, the solution is not necessarily the one you expect! Play with one or two players and try to get out of this little maze! And don’t forget to think twice!
The code is available on github and can be opened with Unity 2017
Try it !
There is nothing after the level 2.3, so you win if you can open the last door!
Controls
Unfortunately, we didn’t have much time to work on the proper controls. The game was intended to be played with Xbox controllers.
I made some changes in the configuration so that you can play it with a simple keyboard in “QWERTY” (most English layouts) or “AZERTY” (French layout). The controls are as follows:
Command | Player 1 | Player 2 |
---|---|---|
⬆️ up | Arrow Up | D |
⬇️ down | Arrow Down | Q / A |
➡️ right | Arrow Right | W / Z |
⬅️ left | Arrow Left | S |
🟢 action | Return / Enter | Space |
🟧 pause/back | Right Shift | Left Shift |
Translation
The game was developed in French, so here are the translations of the different texts you will see on the screen. Don’t worry, there aren’t too many of them.
